Default Raising from the blinds with limpers ...

One mistake I used to make in ring games was taking a hand like A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and raise in the blinds after 3 or 4 people had limped. This was obviously a misapplication of SSH theory. However, in shorthanded games when I have decent stats on people, I'm starting to go back to this strategy. Two examples:

Hand 1:
[UTG is a 50/10 after a few orbits. BB is a 47/5 after 35 hands]
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 2 folds, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, UTG calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (9 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, UTG raises, Hero folds

Hand 2:
[UTG is a 70/2 after 50 hands, CO is a 46/6 after 250 hands, SB is a 30/20 after 30 hands]
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 1 fold, CO calls, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero raises, UTG calls, CO calls, SB calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG calls, CO calls, SB calls.

Turn: (6 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG folds, CO calls, SB folds.

River: (8 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets

Painfully standard or am I pushing too hard?

My raise/call mix on hands like these from the blinds is about 70/30. With the right flop, it's a great spot for a c-r.

1: Good isolation raise even without posistion, once 3bet and you miss the flop its an easy check fold

2: You may have slight equity on this one but I just check it PF. You havent got a good position. Postflop you played it fine since you raised pf but what would you guys do if you checked preflop and someone bet into you? Can you call with around 5-6 outs?

Not in a 5SB pot with 2 left to act.
