I like fruit punch flavored drinks.

Stop drinking "girlie" drinks and have a beer! I prefer skunky Holland beers like Heinekin or Grolsch.

I'm down to 1400 in my bankroll after cashing out some

[/ QUOTE ]

Sounds like you're thinking about your losses in terms of $$$ - is the money really important to you (i.e. so much that it's affecting your play)?

Also sounds like you're using some/all of your winnings for cash outs. Are these cashouts for uneccessary "fun" things? Are they for important needs like monthly bills/food/expenses? If either of these things are the case is the "need to win" to support either of these situations affecting your play? If you do rely on poker to help support yourself are you really bankrolled to the point where you can sustain some heavy downswings?

Just some random thoughts that came to mind...

I'd move down if you fall below 250 BB ($1000)

[/ QUOTE ]

I think he can wait until he's down to at least 150BBs. If he's playing 2/4 then a drop to 150BBs will give him 300BBs to start with again if he drops down to 1/2.

Assuming the standard 300BB roll...

Your advice suggests that after a 50BB downswing he should be moving back down a level. I had two individual 50BB downswings last week. I don't think your advice allows enough leeway for the inevitable variance in low-limit games.

Dude, I've been there. I have had 2 200+ BB downswings this year so far. Just make sure your staying agressive and not expecting to be sucked out every time. If you start playing timid, afraid poker, your going to lose alot more.
