Re: Obvious push on flop, right?
I think it would be more obvious if you had A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
I would have just called the initial flop bet and waited for the turn card before putting a lot of my money in. Much of the deck weakens your hand. Any [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A, 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, J, Q, or K could ruin your high hand, low draw, or both. The only cards you can be real happy seeing on the turn are 3, 4, 8, or T (as long as they aren't diamonds). Once he re-raises (basically allin) I think you can call as you might have the best high, and you have draws for a full house and nut low, but he is going to have a set and/or some good draws (flush, straight, nut low) much of the time. |

Re: Obvious push on flop, right?
I loved getting my money in this pot, heads-up, no pre-flop raises. In situations like these, there's certainly no reason to give someone credit for nut-nut made or draw hands. I didn't win the pot, but that really doesn't concern me at all. I'll gladly take these all night long.

[ QUOTE ]
I'll gladly take these all night long. [/ QUOTE ] Well, if you know your opponents will play 3 high flush draws and non-nut low draws like this, I can see why you push . Just be careful on boards like this if you are playing people who don't hate money. |

Re: Obvious push on flop, right?
I really wish I could have pulled an all-nighter last night to rake in more of the dead money. Unfortunately, I had to put myself to bed.
Note that I didn't raise in Early Position, to encourage more people to come in, LP for me is min-raise or higher with this. Since no one else raised before the flop, it's hard to give anyone credit for another decent A2. |

Re: Obvious push on flop, right?
Two pair + low draw is way ahead of low draw + flush draw here. To give the flush draw a free card is simply suicidally bad poker.
