Default Few Quick PF questions

Hey all,

I've succumbed to the dark side of the 5/10 6 max madness. I've been reading these boards for the past 5 days or so now. I tried the search function but I couldn't find much. So anyways these are pretty basic but I'd like to get em nailed down once and for all.

Earliest Position you open raise the following?

ATo
A9o
KJo
KTo
QJo
55
Q9s
T9s
76s
T8s

I know it's hard to generalize so just assume a typical game with 1-2 good players, 1-2 calling stations, 1-2 average players, and 1-2 maniacs. I should be able to adjust to loose aggressive games or tight passive games, just looking for a general response.

How do these change if UTG limps (assume poor to average limper) and you're UTG+1 or CO?

Thanks
Ponks

Ponks,

Regarding open raising -

ATo - UTG (marginal) or UTG+1
A9o - CO
KJo - UTG (marginal) or UTG+1
KTo - CO
QJo - UTG+1 (marginal) or CO
55 - depends on table texture (blinds specifically)
Q9s - CO (marginal, depends on blinds)
T9s - Button (if blinds are relatively tight)
76s - typically not open raising
T8s - typically not open raising

Wow, I don't play any of them UTG (except perhaps ATo or KJo if the table is real fishy) and I play the looser 1/2 tables. Am I missing out on profit or do you need mad postflop skills to play these profitably?

I think you are misunderstanding a bit. The only hands I'm advocating open raising UTG (and marginally so) are ATo and KJo.

Don't know how I read that... It's pretty clear now that I read it again.

Good stuff, this is exactly what I was looking for. Glad to see it helped out another player as well, then I dont feel so bad posting questions like these.

ATo and KJo are the only ones I'd raise UTG.

Take this.

Yah, I did take that a few days ago and I ended up with the majority of people about 80-85% of the time I'd say. I was happy with that because some of em are pretty close, but I still had some more questions.

Thanks

Default Couple more

K2-K8s Do you steal from the button with these? I'm guessing K8s you could go for the CO as well?

Q6-Q8s Button or SB only?

I raise QJo UTG as well, but not KTo, I think I overvalue QJo. I always UTG open ATo and KJo, I was even thinking of adding A9o but that could be borderline, people do seem to cold call with much worse hands so I'm not sure.
