Default simple vote on AQs hand

Party $100 NL tourney. 400 entered, 75 are left. You have just moved up to $100NL tourneys and don’t have much of a feel (beyond this tourney) as to how they play yet. You just got moved to a new table, 2nd hand in

Avg stack ~4500k, you have 1800, blinds are 150/300. MP1 pushs with stack the same size as yours, you are MP2. You have AQs. Do you call or fold?

Default Fold

I want to be first in with this hand. I would need a better read on MP1 to call this.

Easy call.

With the blinds closing in and at 6xbb I'd say MP1 has any PP, Ax, K-mid kicker or better, suited connectors 10-9 and up (possible 9-8). In most cases your either a small dog or a big favorite. And your probably not gonna get a hand like AQ again in the next 1-2 orbits.

I would either want to be first in, or last in (BB). What scares me here is that you are calling this raise from MP. There are still about 4-5 people after you to act.

I agree with everyone that you want to be first in with this hand, but with a short stack, facing a push by another short stack, I think this is a clear call. There are just way too many hands that a short stack would push with that you are ahead of or only slightly behind. You still have quite away to go before the money, but if you win here you will have 13.5BB, and be in decent shape again.

I would look left before calling....if I had a good read that people were interested, I'd muck...I really want to be heads up with someone I figure to be dominating or coin flipping.

Lol, do you have lucky suits? They were hearts.

And this was on-line. So when I looked left I saw the parking lot across the street
