OT - Tech help needed - Installing a Firewire card
I have a Via VT6306 Firewire card that I'm trying to install. Once I get it installed should Windows be able to detect it through Add New Hardware? My system isn't detecting it so I think it might be dead. Is there a utility out there that says "yup, I see something in that PCI slot but whatever it is it's not working"?
Thanks |

If the card does not show up properly it is probably not seeded properly. Turn your computer off and take the card out and then put it back in. Make sure you push it in all the way. |

Ok, reseeding seems to have helped. Now on reboot, during the hardware check when you can enter setup by pressing F2, I get an error saying
"Resource conflict PCI in slot 3. Bus:00, Device:0F, Function:00" Slot 2 is open, do I need to use them in order? |
