Nice hand, even though you probably lost on the river. I like the flop 3 bet, since UTG might be pumping a flush draw to get a free turn, besides you have outs to a full house. Turn I also bet, and river I'd make the crying call because the pot is so large and you might still be good. Make a note of what people called down with, I like to know if villains will call down with or pay off with on boards like this. It'll help you make some laydowns in the future.

P.S. Stay at this table for the rest of your life, 8 handed to the flop? I might be moving to Paradise.

8 to a flop is not that unusual at Paradise at the right table.

Grunch. Dude, you've got to fold that river after UTG calls.

Also, if the table is agressive enough that pots are getting to $15, you might want to evaluate whether it is wise to play 22 UTG+2. That said, I usually play any pocket pair on .5/1 on Paradise . . .

I dunno about the auto fold on the river. I only need this to pay off 1 in 18 times to be a correct call. At Paradise this guy could have had 4/4, J/4...not likely but I don't think I can fold here.

looks about right. I think the pot is big enough that you have to overcall the river.

River is a very easy fold IMO. You are never good here. 8 People saw the flop! Any good diamonds will stay in.

I'd be tempted to fold, but force myself to call. pot's just way too big.

Too bad - I think you played it well. You'll boat up next time

pot is too big. I disagree. Folding here is a costly mistake. at .5/1 you don't know what's gonna get shown down. People love bluffing 4 flushes and 4 straights.

edit-there's no "always" and "nevers" in this game.

MP1 coldcalled 3 on the flop, i think its a pretty close river decision, fairly ev neutral imo.

that said i think i might just make the crying call to avoid negative implied tilt odds
