Default J6s HU in the SB, look right?

I've been lagging it up in blind-steal situations lately, does this look right?

Villian is a 36/0/1/44 after 40 hands.

Against this opponent, I'm just completing. It's very unlikely that he folds to your open-raise (especially if he has a better hand), and it seems equally unlikely that he'll raise behind you (unless he has a premium hand).

I like the postflop play thus far.

Why not take the ~50% chance to pick up the pot by PFR'ing?

Yea. he's a 36% VP$IP, but he's gonna be more loose in this situation, is 50% too low?

Admittedly, your 40 hand sample isn't enough to form a firm read on the BB. But in my experience, at least, a guy with a 36 VPIP isn't folding to an open-raise from the SB. You could argue that the raise is good because your opponent is likely to call with worse hands, but I just don't like JXs enough to take that line.

But I do like it enough to play it in this situation.

I think so.

Im a 20 VPIP, and im calling/raising with more than 50% of my hands here.

Players loosen up a lot in this situation, IMO.

But if, for some reason or another, you think he'll fold 50% of the time, then raise on.

Well, you're more loose there because you're aware of blind stealing and how it works. I'm not giving him credit for that.

Limping HU from the SB seems so weak.

Definitely. But I still feel the weaker players tend to call in this situation a lot.

Yeah, Im not a fan of it either.

But, there are some situations in which I will limp/autobet. I think I like that here. But I could definitely be convinced otherwise.

What's the reasoning behind it?

It seems to be less EV, IMO. You are not betting when you think you have an edge, and then you are betting regardless of what the flop is, even if it's really unfavorable.
