Default what do you think of how i played ATs here? ( 5/10 FR )

i thought calling the turn would be good because a turn reraise would be more likely to get rid of the blind on the flop.

the flop check raiser is 40.4/7.60/.93 and i just sat down

I like the raise on the turn provided it is to take a free showdown. The river value bet looks pretty slim imo...

Given the turn action the river is an easy value bet IMO.

i would probably have folded to a 3bet on the turn. there isn't much i can beat at that point even if its a crappy jack or JT. he's 40 vpip so there's a lot of stuff that could beat me there ( besides the KTo which he showed ) and i would have felt pretty good about folding.

i'm mainly just wondering if the lost value on the flop ( not getting a 3 bet in ) is worth the increased liklihood that i kick the BB out on the turn unless he's got something worth calling 2 bets with. and actually that value is easily made up for by the fact that i charge the villain an extra big bet as opposed to the extra small bet i would have made him pay on the flop.

I think your line gives up very little in value and gains quite a bit in hand protection + the equity you gain from bb folding. The river card in this hand is a pefect example.

yeah good point... could have been a killer.

edit: this is the first time i've ever felt happy about how i used the waiting til the turn to raise move from HEFAP.

Nice hand. Use your reads and the pot size to decide if you need to wait til the turn to protect. You definately need to value bet the river in this hand. He is a donk and could have any holding, will probably show a weaker ten.
