I'm a bit of a maniac but I would raise the turn for value expecting worse top-pairs to call and punishing picked up draws. If you get reraised you're looking at T9, a set or possibly JJ and can act accordingly.

Given that you called the turn I like the river bet since an unlikely flush wouldn't go for a check-raise when there is no reason to expect a bet.

Why did BB not cap the flop and then bet out on the turn? How did the 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] help him?

I'm guessing he has something like 97 and just made two pair. Although 98 with a pair and an open ended draw is likely too.

I would most likely raise the turn, but I don't think calling is all bad. If I could buy some outs with a raise then I would definitely do it, but in this situation you're not going to get anyone to fold.
