Re: Overpair to paired board
I would raise the turn. There is no evidence yet that he has a better hand. If I get reraised on the turn I would slow down. A lower (pocket-)pair will call you down most of the time and if your opponent is being tricky with overcards you destroy his pot-odds by raising.

Re: Overpair to paired board
Ditto. Alot of SS players wait and c/raise the turn w/ flopped trips. I put villain on A6 s00ted.

Re: Overpair to paired board
Hey I know where you are coming from here. Jacks are my worry too. I know I should raise the turn here to see if I am reraised - but I too often call down like you. And when I am reraised I feel I should fold - especially to a basic player. Against a tricky player I will call down.

Re: Overpair to paired board
I think if you're routinely calling down with these types of hands after being 3-bet on the flop and turn you would be better off in the long run just calling the turn and river.

Re: Overpair to paired board
I didn't say I would automaticly call down but that's probably what I would do . You're right that hero is most likely behind if reraised on both flop and turn. The problem is that the flop has gotten really big, it's heads-up and if you get known to make these folds your opponents may throw in a reraise in these types of situations just to test you (they're getting pretty juicy pot-odds). But against clueless players or A-B-C-players it is possible to make alot of folds that I would perceive as dangerous.
