A string raise is generally illegal, and some consider it an unethical play. This happens when one player calls an outstanding bet, then reaches back to add money for a raise (without first declaring the intention to raise). At a home game, this move is quite common as most players are quite inexpert and do this on accident. "The player who made the original bet went crazy and started yelling at the other guy to get that raise up on out of there." Dixon said. She continues: "Before anyone could blink, the raiser pulls his gat out and blows the guy's head off. He's all, 'I guess you ain't callin my bet now that you got no head left and all.' And he raked in the $250 pot." The 38-year-old victim's name was not released. Dixon concluded: "Well, we all looked around and were like, 'we only have four players, let's play Hearts!'" [/ QUOTE ]
