Default Re: Should I have raised KK Pre Flop

Always Raise it, and re-raise if able, be willing to cap PF. Think to yourself, I have an equity advantage here, I want to get as much money into the pot as possible. If somebody draws out, they draw out, but in the long run KK wins the majority of the time and you need to maximize the money in the pot.

And dude lead out on that river.

In the end you lost this pot, would the winner have called a raise? Who cares, get the money into the pot!

The PF states for the hand was:
1,712,304 games 0.015 secs 114,153,600 games/sec

Board:
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) / tie (%)

Hand 1: 85.6827 % [ 00.86 00.00 ] { KsKh }
Hand 2: 14.3173 % [ 00.14 00.00 ] { QdJc }

That means for every time he beats you, you'll beat him about 6 times!

I don't even have to read anything but the title to know the answer is yes. You generally should not be putting on tricky plays only for deception at these levels. Nobody will notice and even if they did, they aren't usually skilled enough to react the way you want them to. Deviate from standard lines only with specific cause.

[ QUOTE ]
How do you deal with this other than committing a ton of money to the pot which gives the drawers a larger pot to bet at.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is a bad way of thinking, you are willing to jam preflop because KK wins more than its fair share of the pot meaning you make money on every bet going in, barring an ace on the flop you will usually still be way ahead on a lot of flops

raise for value, also KK vs QJ is an 85/15 matchup one of the best possible ones for you, so you always want them coldcalling you preflop
