Krieger\'s AK advice
Are you guy's suggesting that you agree with Krieger's advice on AK? Because to think that big slick is nothing more that a premium drawing hand is crazy.

Re: Krieger\'s AK advice
Its not that I necessarily agree with his thinking on the subject. Just that his advice on AK and the explanation going along with, along with the mathematical breakdowns he provides gives readers another way of looking at AK. He says himself that he'd still prob play it the usual way it is played, but that too many people play AK as though it is AA or KK.

Re: Krieger\'s AK advice
I don't get your point--of course it is (the premium) drawing hand--how many hands doyou win with ace-high (even with the best kicker)???????

Re: Krieger\'s AK advice
I think more what he's speaking of is that Krieger suggests simply calling with this hand rather than raising because it is only a premium drawing hand, but if you don't raise with this hand what the hell do you raise with other than big pairs?

Re: Krieger\'s AK advice
Hi kak17:
We have a short section in SSH titled "Ace-King is Not Just A Drawing Hand." You may want to take a look at it since it addresses this exact issue. Best wishes, Mason |

Re: Krieger\'s AK advice
To be fair Krieger more or less breaks down the pros and cons of both sides of the debate.
He does not cover EV in his analysis. If nothing else it is a useful chapter, because it gives you an alternate opinion, and insight into how some players think. |
