Adapting to NL and just wondering if you bet the river here? In my world, a check behind is in order because there's a big chance you'll only get called (probably) check-raised by a better hand here. Or am I wrong? In fixed limit I'd bet this for value...

I can't figure what Villain would have that he would check/call you the whole way like that. AJ? Maybe AT, in which case you're in trouble? Why would he call your pfr with those hands?

the question you ask is "what hand worse than mine will call?"

a busted flush won't call. a weaker A may call, but only if he's a complete donk would he have played this way with AQ.

check behind because if you bet, you will be called by more hands that beat you than that you beat. also, you're reopening betting, giving him one last chance to bluff you out of the pot.
