Default 2-way runner runner decision

Call or 3-bet the river? No reads on villain, sadly.

I would have checkraised the river and capped a 3-bet.

Since you lead and he raised, I 3-bet. Don't fear the runner-runner.

I guess he could have K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] or something like Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. But I'd go ahead and 3-bet and call a cap.

Sometimes you'll probably be chopping with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or some other A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K hand.

But often you'll win, I think.

Easy threebet. Sure he could have you beat, but more likely he is overplaying two pair.

I just called because he raised quickly. So I thought he either had a flush or a straight to chop. But he showed QQ and MHIG. I suppose I was gobsmacked that my AK came good on the marginally EV draw (so rarely happens) and I didn't want to blow another BB - when I might have been run out by KQ crubs or some other lousy flush.

I think the poster who said don't fear the runner runner was right, I will be ahead more often than not here.

I agree that you could have check/raised here.

Also, why didn't you bet the flop? 3 behind? yippie.
