Default Jumping the list

Tonight when I arrived at the casino, the brush (who I'm pretty friendly with) was quite busy. I waited patiently as he tended to some open seats, and when it looked like he had a spare second, I asked to be put on 6/12, 8/16, and Stud. He put me up on the last two, then a couple of other guys asked to get on the 6/12 list and he put them on.

At this point I got kind of annoyed and said something a little snotty about not getting on the list ahead of those guys... it turned out the brush was already planning to seat me ahead of the ~20 people already on the 6/12 list.

Boy was my face red... I gave him an extra $2 and apologized profusely (away from the board, of course)

Some questions now:

- I toke this guy pretty regularly for table changes, when I'm having a good night, etc. (He rotates between brush and floor at this room). Is it normal to get this special treatment? Assuming that I'm now established as "a regular", how frequently should I expect this guy to bump me? That is, if he's not too pissed at the comment I made when I thought I was getting the short end of the stick.

- I assume an extra toke is in order for this privilege... how much is normal? Should I wait until he is away from the board to give this to him?

Thanks for any input.

See above. You've already done it.
