Default Just multitabled for the first time

Even two tables was a little fast for me. But then again, I've only been playing online for a few weeks.

And maybe I shouldn't multitable 5-max games, since they move so much faster than the full rings. I did OK, though -- up $25 after about 20 minutes at $2-4.

Do you get used to it after a while? Or is it always a challenge?

You'll get used to it. Pretty soon you'll be buying an extra monitor and graphics card to add 4 more tables.

You definetly get used to it. When I first tried two-tabling, it was 6-max, and tough to keep up with. After a day or two its no problem. I now find it quite easy to 4-table 4 full ring games with 1280x1024 resolution. I haven't been playing much more than a month. It starts off as a little difficult, but takes no time at all to get used to. Oh, and after playing 4 for a while, then going down to 3 or 2 for whatever reason, it seems slow as hell. I would assume this is so for any stepdown in the number of tables.

Think I'll stick to two tables -- if even that -- for a while. But it sure makes clearing bonuses a hell of a lot easier, I imagine.

Still weird to be playing online, let alone two games at once.

Yes, certainly stick to two for now. Once you get comfortable with this and have played it for a while, throw a third table in occassioanlly to try it out. Take your time, but don't be afraid to experiment out of your comfort zone - that's the only way to get better.

You will realize when it's time to move up. You'll have "extra" time, that you can spend doing really important things.

I can talk on AOL, 6 table, surf 2+2 and watch TV at the same time. =)

Thanks for the advice, scotty. I'm going to have issues going to more than two tables -- unless I get a PC or a new monitor. (I'm on a Mac, playing at pokerroom.com because that's the only place I can play.) My monitor's resolution doesn't go past 1024x768, and I had plenty of overlap with the two tables. I think three would be a bit of a nightmare, display-wise.

I'll definitely keep trying the two tables, though -- and cross the new-computer bridge when I come to it.

Thanks again for the help. These forums are great for someone just starting out online.
