You didn't even put up a list of your own first off, and second - I'm not going to carbon copy the same list eveyone else has. I'm not an expert, but the teams that I have seen that looked the best to me are on my list. Your objection is duly noted.

Close loss on the road. Their performance against USC, also on the road, was light years better than Oregon's performance against USC, which was at home.

I'm interested how both you and the other poster can leave Fresno totally off your list.

There is a huge difference there. When two teams are RIGHT next to each other, and one beat the other head-to-head, I'm likely to switch them. But you can't ALWAYS have a head-to-head matchup correcting everything without screwing everything up. But that screws up nothing.

The reason I don't have Fresno on the list is I have little respect for Oregon. With Fresno, you can really only look at 2 games to judge how good they are, which are both losses. Oregon has snuck by some of the crappiest teams in the Pac-10. So perhaps they would be 11? Or bump off Auburn?

Tough call.
