Duunno how all the tournaments on all these sites are still going on. The sites should have canceled and refunded the prizepool to the players still in.

Why? The sites are up and running. Most players have no issues. And the problems are general backbone-related. Don't you have an alternate means of connecting to the Internet in the even of issues like this? First time I got disconnected once I started 4 $209 SNGs I got a backup.

Look at the Stars $3 rebuy for example, at the bubble of the FT, all but 1 guy was disconnected, shortstack went from 250k to 2million.

And would a backup work? isn't it about location?

a lot of players were affected by this, and it created an unfair balance int he tournaments.

Maybe i'm just cranky, but the situation i was in i dont think was that bad, but the $3 rebuy, and the 45k too.. those really sucked.

I was "disconnected" from my Party tables tonight even though my connection to www.yahoo.com was 100% and the report came up "very good" from Party.

Only my www.partypoker.com connection was having problems so I think there's a bug in their latest software update. If it would just switch to yahoo when the party connection goes down, there would be no disconnects.

I don't see how having a backup connection would help in this instance.
