They should maybe invest in a clear table as well, or at least clear around the outside. That's probably asking for too much though.

Oh, I guess then a "scooping" hand in Omaha 8 means the nuts. I thought it just meant you won the whole pot and didn't split.

Scooping means you win the whole pot. Either because you had both hi and low, or you just had hi but there was no low possible.

Typically you will have what's known as the wheel. Its got earthy tones, smooth draw, and enough kick to win me the high and the low.
