Online poker room icons
What are your opinions on using personalized icons on Absolute or PokerStars or wherever? I haven't seen any posts on this.
I think it can only help people get a read on me, like "that guy who has Walter from The Big Lebowski as his icon is a total maniac." It definitely helps me identify other players. I don't see how using one myself could help. Agree/disagree? |

Re: Online poker room icons
I don't think there is any difference one way or the other. Though I do like the guys who use female names and pictures in hopes that sex-starved geeks will soft-play them with the nuts.
Not using one definitely makes you more anonymous and less recognizable to the fishies. The good players keep buddy lists so icons mean nothing to them. BTW - My icon is Hugo Weaving in his LOTR regalia with Agent Smith's Matrix sunglasses. It probably makes me look like a geek (which is fine), but since pokerstars only allows one change, I'm sticking with it for a while longer. |

Re: Online poker room icons
My picture is a picture of some marijuana buds, but it's hard to tell. If someone makes a comment, I know they're serious potheads.

I use them to say something, i wrote in paint "Bodog blocked my chat" - because they did, and the other players dont think im rude if they say nh/gg/etc
