Now, as far as I can tell, I made two mistakes: not re-raising pre-flop and betting on the Turn. Any suggestions as to how I could have played this better?

there really isnt much u can do cuz with big slick it usually looks alot better than it really is so i just smooth call with it alot preflop too ... and im guessing he had pocket tens here and thats just a harsh flop.. but what did he have

I check the turn through. you really don't need to protect your hand and you don't want to play for a huge pot.

-depending on the villian, think about folding preflop. i'm serious

-call the flop

-check the turn

-call a PSB on the river. fold to a push. if he checks bet 3/4 pot.

the above requires a sane opponent, against a maniac, i like the line.

I know that AKo should be folded at times, but I honestly don't think it's a foldable hand on $50NL on Party Poker without some good information on the opponent.

You said call the flop. Since he didn't bet, would that imply checking? (I'm just wondering, since I didn't know my flop bet was a mistake, but it may be)
