Borgata N/L info
Looking for some general information about Borgatta No Limit tables. Specifically the 1/2 compared to the 2/5 (is that right?). What are the avg. stack sizes, player skill level, ect.
Also, how difficult is it to get a table during off-peak hours (like 10am Sat or Sun morning)? Any info would be appreciated. thx. |

Re: Borgata N/L info
Compared to where?
I think it's $300 max and $500 respectively, figure the table will have 10-15x the max buy on it on 2-5. Easy to get 2-5 tables at those times. If you go earlier you will find players who started the previous day and are making bad decisions. topout |

Re: Borgata N/L info
I've played 1/2 a few times. Not recently, but I don't think it's changed much.
The preflop betting is insane -- $15-25 seems to be the average opening raise, but I've seen it go $35 and up. There are a fair number of unraised pots. Postflop, most of them are terrible by my standards, and I'm pretty bad at no-limit. Buy-in is $60-300, and people buy in all over that range. The crazy betting makes for crazy pots, so later in the day some people will have lots and lots of chips. FWIW, the dealers claim the 2/5 game is more normal. There's always a bunch of 1/2 games going, weekends around 10am you can just walk in and sit down. By noon there's a significant wait, and if you're not on the list by 4pm, forget it. There's usually one or more 2/5 games, and they have a short list. That might be changing, since they've started a bunch of 5/10 and 10/25 games the last few times I went down. jafager |

Re: Borgata N/L info
Another thing worth considering: the 2/5 has a time charge, whereas the 1/2 has a rake. Sitting back & waiting for AA will be a lot more expensive in the former. Wild play in the 1/2 the several times I've played it, and Saturday nights are amazing... drunk college kids come down from Club Mixx and donate from 2AM to 8AM.

Thanks for the comments. I'll be there Sat/Sun.

Re: Borgata N/L info
How can you get at the tables at 2AM without showing up before noon? I am not a 30 hour session robot like you all, although my list jumping skills are decent.

Re: Borgata N/L info
The 1-2 list moves pretty fast, it seems to be the most popular game there and they usually have anywhere from 3 to 5 tables going. I'd say the usual wait is about 30 minutes to an hour depending on the night.
