Default 88 w/ less than 10bb, final 4 tables

I thing I made a really bad call here. Do you think I should have pushed? I had been really tight up to this but I don't think I had much FE with my small stack and so many callers.

push preflop.

Definitely.

But as it played, other than 8xx, what better flop could you ask for with your hand?

If you're not willing to push here, you shouldn't have limped with the hand in the first place. Sorry you lost to SB's 2.

Edit: let me re-emphasize... PUSH preflop

this is just askin for a push preflop
uve got a decent mid PP with 3 limpers in front
IMO, uve still got good enough FE so a push preflop can def work and pick urself up the blinds/antes and 3 limpers' BB

there is a 50% increase in your stack sitting in the middle before it gets to you. Nobody has shown any real strength PF. I would auto push here while you do have FE with 8x BB.

shy of hiting your set 88's have almost no chance of winning a 6 way pot especially if you let the blinds in.

Push get no calls- your stack = 40k now 13x BB

Push get 1 caller and win = stack 60k chips and you can now play poker again

Push and get called and lose ur broke but you're alrready in the money and can at least know you gave yourself a real chance to win instead of getting blinded off to death.

Hate to echo the other posters but the push is a must.

Pushing preflop gives you the chance of picking up the blinds +the limpers as well as pushing any small edge you may have. You don't want the BB or SB getting in for cheap with this hand. There are too many flops that you DON'T want to see with 88. It's a push or fold situation and I'd probably NEVER fold in this situation.
