Default Hand #2 -- How To Maximize One\'s Nuts On The Turn In Wild Game?

10-20 (1/2 kill) local B&M game. As described in Hand #1, LAGs and a maniac are creating the Perfect Storm, where pots are routinely $300-$500. 5-7 seeing the flop for two, three and four bets with three to the river.

Kill on super LAG CO. UTG limps, maniacal MP calls, MP2 calls, Hero in CO-1 with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] makes a dubious call, knowing that the super LAG CO will likely raise, which he does. LAG Button reraises, Blinds fold, everyone calls, including Hero (?!?). 6 players -- 19.5 small bets.

Flop is Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Checked around to button, who bets. UTG calls, MP2 calls, Hero calls, everyone else folds. 4 players -- 23.5 small bets.

Turn is K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Checked to Hero, who bets (?!?), button calls, other two players fold. 2 players -- 14 big bets.

River is 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero bets, button calls.

Better to check the turn, hoping button will bet and other two players will call, and then checkraise or better to bet out on the turn? At first, I was kicking myself for not going for the checkraise, but button who had pocket rockets said after the hand that he would have checked the turn anyway.

Any thoughts welcome.

Raise preflop. I say this because you may very well have the best hand and because the LAGs likely know that you're not one of them. They'll cold-call your raise, but they probably won't reraise you preflop and will instead try to push you off your hand on later streets.

The button is almost certainly lying if he told you that he would have checked behind with AA on the turn. He got scared when you bet. If he's indeed a LAG, going for a check-raise would be a good option, but betting out isn't bad either because there's a chance of getting the flush draws to pay 3+ BB for seeing the river.
