Which Countries Outside US is Internet Gambling OK/tolerated?

So I've been considering traveling around the world for some time. Getting sick of my job and would like some time off. I've been making good $$$ playing the Party Skins and think it would be a great way to offset some expenses during my travels. Just need to get that UXGA laptop...

Now the Q is, where to? I know there are issues with Netteller and what-not outside the US, but that's not what I'm looking for. What countries can I basically jack into a phone-line and log-on to the Party Skins without problems? What places is it techically legal to do this? What places should I avoid?

Any and all experiences are welcome.

I'm speculating here, but probably anywhere in Europe (perhaps excluding the former Eastern Bloc countries). Australia, China, Japan etc.

Umm, definetely illegal in China, probably blocked by the big-red firewall also. Though I know people who play there, so it's possible.

Japan? Probably techically illegal. Anyone tried logging on?? I like Japan.

Thailand. I know someone here has played there. Cheap, that's a plus.

I know most European countries, no problem, but most aren't cheap.

How about Central/South America?? Someone here has to of played in some other countries...

MOst of Europe you can play however who knows if it is technical legal, in UK it was illegal to provide the facilities to play online but the law recently changed making it legal. But noone is coming knocking round your hotel or wherever door if you play in europe.

I think there are some issues in one of the Nordic countries as well but cant remeber which one or what the issue is.

MOst of the poker companies are trying to expand into Japan and other countires in that region a google will probably answer that one.

The middle east is probably a big no no for stuff like that as well.

Isnt there issues about the legality in thailand as well?

Yes, technically illegal in Thailand. But no problems I've heard. They seem to have selective enforcement of most laws. Though not sure I want to be around when they do enforce....

There are no issues in any of the nordic countries. I think all of europe is safe.

I have been living and playing in china for 6mths now, some websites are firewalled, however none of the actual poker game servers are blocked. The gaming club will not let you register in china however as they are currently working on a chinese based site...

What are the issues with Neteller outside of the US? I am actually going to be in Europe for two months starting in October and plan on playing quite a bit of poker.
