I never like overbetting when its a broadway straight. Maybe it's just me, but I never get a call, I would just value re-raise, 3x more or so.

This is a great situation for an overbet. If you make a standard raise, a set or heart draw might call, which might not be a good thing. You will get called by Ax though, which you are freerolling against.

I like it.

Huh? I really don't see someone having a set here. How are you getting called by Ax pushing AI?

A set is unlikely, but could be out there. I think a heart draw worries me more.

Ax will call 100% of the time because they will have the nuts. Would you fold Ax to an AI on that board?

Yeah sorry with the Ax..obviously
I still see no reason to overbet that much, make a standard raise & make the flush draw pay to call if he's a fish..

Why didn't you bet the flop ?

folded to you and you had position, I know four players is a lot to bluff but did the thought of betting the flop cross anyone elses mind ?

If there were less players would you bluff at the pot at the flop ?

Just curious.

The push is perfect because you have re-draws to the nuts.

I did this last night and got called by someone holding the broadway straight, while I held the broadway straight but with re-draws to the nut flush, and hit the flush on the river to take the pot down.

Anyone that doesn't make this play with the broadway straight and the nutflush draw is costing themselves mega +EV.
