Default Renaming wireless network

Hey guys,,

I recently installed a wireless router. The default name is linksys...I am in a condo development with like 4 connections. My dekstop is connected through an ethernet cable and the laptop is on the wireless network. There are like various names of the connections listed on the wireless (all the neighbors). How do I go in and change the name of my router so I can tell it apart from the others?

Thanks.

use your browser go to 192.168.0.1

no username, password="admin"

change the name in there somewhere.

edit: heh, consider changing the password while you're in there

Guh, now I cant find which place to change the password for the wireless connection.

Am I putting it to WPA personal? I am not sure what tab requires it.

Yea he means your WEP key, you can choose 2 different encryption options, one with maybe a 13 digit password and the other with a 26 digit password. (not all letters are useable)
