Calling with A/X is sticky in the SB, you flop an ace and you don't know what to do. You're out of position, normally against a large field and either WA/WB.

You do this a couple times lets say losing 75 chips that will translate later into many more chips. 2 hours later and 3 all ins you won in a row that 75 chips would have turned into 75x2=150x2=300x2= 600 chips.

if you play a drawing hand play it in CO or button and alwats look to your left to see if remaining players are going to raise (live of course).

If the table is only limping all the time then you can play small pairs up front. Weak passive players limping = you get paid off for sets. But lots-o-limpers is rare.

Look for the LAG at the table. If he is to your left be careful. He will raise you out of many pots.

I like to play tight and emotionless only showing good cards. That way when I have chips I can loosen up and have a lot greater chance to steal and maintain my chips till real hands come around.

I prefer live better than online. Seeing your oppopnent makes a HUGE difference to me.

In small-stakes online tournaments, limping with these kinds of hands is a great way to double up against people who will go to the felt with TPNK.

Ax suited. Ick. I know it's great if you hit the flush, but early in tourneys when your stack is still relatively small, these hands just beg to cost you money. example: Flop has two of your suit. Someone with a decent pair, or better, is gonna make you pay to see your draw cards. Granted, if you hit the flush you love it. Unfortunately, you'll only hit approx 33% of the time, meaning that 67% you'll be paying dearly, only to miss. And god forbid if an ace hits, your crummy kicker is even more dangerous now. Don't take this too seriously, 'cuz I suck.

You will rarely have a better stack/blinds ratio, or better implied odds than in the first round of an MTT.

Either a small favorite or a big dog, I don't think you can ever be way ahead with ace small kicker.

i say stick in a fat rasie with that Axs. then make a big bet if an ace hits, make a big bet if you catch 4 to the flush, or just make a continuation bet no matter what hits. you'll take down the pot right then at least 1/3 of the time, and then another 1/3 of the time you'll make your flush and take down an even bigger pot.

suited aces are profitable.
