I just read this book and found it mildly interesting more from the Japanese culture side of things more than the trading side.

Does anyone know what is the John Malcom character's real name and what hedge fund does he run?

I haven't read this book yet but I've been meaning to. From what I hear, it is filled with mistakes regarding the financial activities that actually occurred as well as the details of modern Japan. I have also heard it dwells on the Japanese sex trade. Nonetheless, it is supposed to be an entertaining read.
