Default Happy Hour JJ Hand - Overthinking?

Happy Hour Hand:

Villian has a huge stack of 5k (Probably 1st or 2nd overall) in Happy hour, with about 70 people left. Blinds are 25/50. I have 2300 having just doubled up with a set. Villian in this hand has shown the ability to call with a wide range preflop to try to hit hard. I'd say neither donkish nor supertight/good.

2 people limp (Not unusual) and I raise to 250. The SB (Villian) goes allin for 5k.

My pea sized brain says "Self, who the hell would play it that way unless they have AK or MAYBE 99 through QQ? Call that nut." I call.

Standard? Overthinking? Donkish? What do you do there?

Nick

I'd fold, especially in that tourney. I wouldn't rule out AA or KK and I think it's pretty likely you're racing or dominated. I'd say you're 60/40 at best against his range. I don't think you want to risk your stack with pretty even odds in a tourney where you're one of the better players.

$100+1. 2+2ers usually dominate with the rest very average at best.

I fold especially if my image is tight unless I've got notes on the villain that says he does crap like this with less than premium hands.

I'd fold.. but I can't play 99-JJ if my life depended on it

You're a strong player and still don't really have much blind pressure, let him get away with this one instead of winning/losing the tournament on one hand

Agreed he could be pushing with a bigger pair.
How would he be in a 60 40 situation?

Say the other guy's range was QQ-99 and AK.

Yeah, I'm folding this. It's not always AK and the odds of a smaller pair are not on the good side in that tourney.
