That sucks man, last week was a horrible one for me too.

Monday - Grandfather has a heart attack, and is currently in hospital (not looking like he will make it, needs major surgery that is not recommended at his age)

Thursday - My uncle's dad (not blood relative but close with our family) had a heart attack and died.

Friday - my dog had some kind of seizure/stroke and died.

I too am in a life downswing. My gf of 1.5 years tells me she loves me but is not "in love" with me and we should just be friends. Other than her, most of the people I hang out with are drug dealers/users that I was able to avoid by having a steady gf. I also fvcked up my probation and will probably be in some trouble shortly. This should get interesting... and by interesting I mean sucky. Rapidly.

My SOP for breaking up with girls is not answering their calls until they stop calling. Works every time. I told this gf a year ago "If we ever break up, you're going to have to do it because I definitely won't". Perhaps this was not optimal strategy.

The classic line. The best response is to cut off all communication, rip up photos, memorabilia, and immediately find someone remotely interesting and jump in the sack with them.

Inevitably, in about a year, youll get a sobbing phone call filled with lines like "Ive never met anyone who made me feel like you used to" etc etc etc.

By this time though, you will be well over her. Even better you can say mildly passive agressive things like "maybe one day youll find someone special" and "I thought that too before I found my new girlfriend, and now EVERYTHING IS JUUUST GREAT"
