I dunno...I think after he moves $1,500 on the turn, virtually the only legit hand that can lay down on the river all in is A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], and I think even that is a tough fold.

I think I need villain to have a good read on me saying I won't bet like this without a monster hand in order to make this play. Against an unknown, I'm not a big fan.

I think i muck AA fairly often in villain's shoes, let alone AQ.

Somehow I doubt you would have actually called a turn push

I agree, and i really dont like TBG's line, however i think AQ folds fairly often, as TBG's line does represent a lot of strength (i still don't like trying to fold out 222).

Shall we tell them what happened or what?

I'll add that I certainly wouldn't be calling the river with 1 pair here. But I likely wouldn't call the turn either. 22 I would probably find a call with, but I'm not positive.

You fold AA after calling the turn reraise? I think if you're folding AA you have to do it on the turn.

I think the only hand that can call the turn reraise and fold on the river is a solid hand that has a lot of redraw chances to improve to the best, like A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

too bad i can NEVER see AA/AQ checking that flop behind

I don't think it'd be good for villain holding AA/AQ to do so (in fact, I'd call it horrible), but you're saying you've never seen that happen before? I find that hard to believe...

I think the bluff is well done. By raising on the turn you suggest that your hand is stronger than it actually is. The push on the river is just a continuation of the move that began on the turn. Properly executed you give your opponent the opportunity to make a mistake.

Even if the bluff is called that doesn't make it a bad move.
