Wynn 4/8 A9s hand vs. straddle
Same game as described earlier, with some folks sitting out. UTG straddles. I've heard from Thirddan that he's been trying to leave the table for 3 hours. He's bad, calling stationy, and despite the fact that he's straddled twice, pretty passive.
It's a few cold callers to me. Both locals, one of whom is decent and has isolated before in this spot with 88, so he's probably got something worse than that here. Another bland, probably lousy local calls. I call in the BB with Ac9c. I'm pretty sure he's going to raise his straddle, I don't think anybody is folding for two more, but I'm thinking that vs. the likely hand ranges, I potentially should have 3-bet here? Thoughts? Flop comes T9x, one club. I'm having trouble remember the flop action exactly (if anybody playing at the table remembers, please correct me, Goblinmason, this means you). SB, a non awesome local bets. I raise. UTG calls, we lose the better of the two locals, the SB calls. Turn is a Q of a meaningless suit. Checked to me, I bet. River is a King. I check and fold to a bet from somewhere. |

Where? [/ QUOTE ] Right where you did, although flop action would help an awful lot to define my turn action. Depending on how bad the calling station is in regards to calling 2 back on the flop, I could be checking the turn. |

I don't remember this hand specifically as I was delerioulsy tired by then and only recently sobered....
Looks good to me. Although I can't picture who the guy was that was sitting to your left that straddled. |
