Is this overcall horrible? I wasnt going to call if a 4th [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] hit and obviously if SB raises.

SB doesnt have the jack or the flush. MP possibly flopped a set of 9s, pair of Qs, a low flush, or the idiot straight. I think you are probably beat, but I hate not protecting my hand here. I probably checkraise the turn and fold to a 3bet, although some may suggest calling to see a showdown for the same price.

This is fine I see no fold there. I think a checkraise on the turn would be good you are most likely ahead and you can charge the draws extra. Once the 8 hits on the river its just call down in most cases.
