Re: AA in a marginal river situation
I think going for an overcall is best here. I really don't want to get three bet here by any means and the bettor may fold to your raise anyway so I like an overcall

Re: AA in a marginal river situation
It's impossible for him to be ahead here without a deuce. He doesn't have a set. He doesn't have a flush. Even a deuce seems odd with him donking the flop. Unless you have a really strong read that tells you that he wouldn't donk the river if he didn't have you beat you've got to jam that raise in.

Re: AA in a marginal river situation
I much prefer a call here for two great reasons:
1) When you're beat (by either Button or BB, you save yourself at least 1 bet) 2) When you're winning, you will often win the same amount anyway as Button is more likely to call with a pair of Kings if you merely call Note that it is somewhat unlikely (based on your read) that BB bets into two opponents here, one showing strength the whole way, on a coordinated board like this. It takes a real LAG to bet out here with junk. |

Re: AA in a marginal river situation
Usually I raise this, but in the generally weak tight Commerce 9/18 game (where I'm assuming this is being played), I'd just call. And people play strangely there, this bet could mean anything

Re:sults
I ultimately just called after some deliberation, hoping to draw in an overcall. Button folded anyway, BB had KQs, and MHIG.
