Re: My day with Arnold (long, pictures)
diebitter and Jihad,
The primary issue with the book is that it recommends way too many sets and movements for the non enhanced athlete. This is of course an understandable problem because Arnold, like ALL competitive bodybuilders was far from a natural. Outside of that problem, and especially considering the time of release, the book is phenomenal. The vast coverage and pictures make it worth buying even today. J |

Re: My day with Arnold (long, pictures)
Yeah, possibly, can't remember his suggested routines, so I'll concede. I'm pretty sure I used to do something like a full routine from this book though, even as beginner/intermediate level, so it wasn' THAT hard.
The actual movements described, rep/set structures (assuming 3 or possibly 4 sets, each heavier and less reps than the last), warm-up/warm-down advice is still solid though, huh? And still make this book worthwhile (as you rightly say). |

Re: My day with Arnold (long, pictures)
diebitter,
Absolutely, considering the time of release and the way the concepts were all put in one place, it was a great book and the advice can still be beneficial. If you get a chance to dust off your old copy, take a look through the workouts, especially the intermediate and advanced ones. J |
