Didn't bisonbison already make this post?

I dunno. Probably?

Not exactly, but bison did make a good post about the same subject. This one's good too though. Never hurts to be reminded.

This might have been it.

I didn't mean to insult your post. It was good. Bison's was better, but then again he is an internet celebrity.

I remember that post now. I vaguely recalled it while writing this. I guess somethings just move in cycles, but I can count several threads I've seen recently in SS/Micro that demonstrate a poor understanding of these concepts.

Isn't is always?

I wasn't taking offense at all. I had a vague recollection of Bison writing something like this, but not enough to remember it an bump it (good job, cold_cash), and I wanted to bring it up again, since it seems like things move cyclically around here.

Good common sense post. Of course for anyone who has been hanging around here for a while this is as familiar as brushing your teeth in the morning but I am sure the topic is of value to a great many viewers. Don't let the haters stop you from these types of posts.

Bisons was longer. Entities is clearer. I think they complement each other. Good writing Entity. Besides, Bison has forsaken us.

I think the reverse concept is also important. You can be at a table with a legendary VP$IP, but relative position can wreck it for you.

Thanks Rob,

Nice post. I cut my teeth in Stars 2/4 and 3/6 where 'rock garden' type tables can abound. I learned to identify the rocks who play poorly postflop. These games can be pretty soft - with a good seat.

One of my favorite little ego things is when I join a table to the right of a TAG and he gets up and leaves within two orbits.

There is a term that we used to use on this board that describes the situation perfectly. The term was FROI or First Right Of Isolation. The first tight player after the loosies always has the first opportunity to raise and make the rest of the tight players have to coldcall or threebet to get into the pot (which is something that tight players don't like to do). The first tight player never gets shut out of the pot, but the subsequent tight players will get shut out more often because of the action in front of them.
