Default percentage of players using software

Hi all,

first post for me. Just downloaded Poker Tracker after 6 months or so of playing NL cash games around the $1/$2 or $2/$4 range.

Just wondering if anyone has a view as to how many players out there are already using software of some kind - is it starting to get statistically significant?

Given the edge that it should bring, do people think there's only a limited time to 'cash-in' before either the poker sites stop data mining somehow, or Joe Average catches on?

Welcome to the forum.

At low levels, I can't imagine even 3% use pokertracker. However, at mid-high stakes, like $30/$60, I imagine well over half do. Maybe I have too-high an opinion of the 30 game, though.

I would imagine far more than 3% even at low stakes if you judge it by the liklihood of having a PT user at your table..

They mostly multitable so increase their effective numbers by 3-4x

I would say maybe 20% or so is a better guess..
