Default Re: Deep $100 max hand

How the hell has this caused so much debate? The villian could have...

1)A J for the straight, or KJ for the nut straight
2)A smaller flush
3)A very poorly played set or TT that just caught
4)An outright bluff
5)A straight flush

This is a clear raise as small flushes and even nut straights might call here. Hell this is NL100 against a guy making crazy bets and calling all in with JTs preflop, he may well call with TT or 9T.

So min raise or push? I think anything which calls a min raise probably calls a push so I just jam it here. It has the added bonus of looking like a J trying to steal intead of split.

Incidentally with position and with a raise and a call I'm rerasing 90% of the time preflop, just under the general premise of building a good sized pot in position with a strong hand. I also might semi-bluff the turn, hoping either to take the hand down or to build the pot with a great disgusied draw in order to win big on the river.
