Why is that funny? He has become world class. He won the California State Championship which is a 10k buy-in NL event. I would call that world class. I would put him up against most players in the world and bet on him.

Annie Duke

While I was at the Commerce in June, I was in the elevator with Dan Harrington during one of the tournament breaks (California State Championship). He was asked what he thought of Affleck's playing ability and Harrington said he was very good.

Of course, Afflect went on to win that tournament.

Harrington seems like a class guy, I wouldn't expect him to say something like "he's brutal."

Because "world class" at ANYTHING is not obtainable in 6 months of instruction.

I have also seen Doyle Brunson quoted as saying that Affleck was the real deal.
