Default NL25 - Did I butcher this AQo hand?

I apologise for the shoddy HH but I did the best I could since the converter doesnt recognise my sites HHs.

Hero has A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG

Hero calls $0.25
1 fold
chrisho: calls $0.25
DejnyRich: calls $0.25
3 folds
qijrou: calls $0.10
likemally: checks

FLOP ----- [Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]]

qijrou: checks
likemally: checks
Hero checks
chrisho: bets $0.50
3 Calls
Hero raises to $3
chrisho: calls $2.50
3 Folds

TURN ------ [7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]

Hero bets $2, chrisho: calls $2

RIVER ----- [2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ]

Hero bets $2, chrisho: raises to $8, Hero calls $6

Total pot $28.75 Main pot $27.35 Rake $1.40

Am I correct in thinking that this hand was awfully played? Looking back, there isnt a single action of mine that I can justify in this hand.

don't checkraise the flop, just pot it.

bet more on the turn obviously. you bet less than you did on the flop which is inane.

you were beaten by a flush on the river through inept protection of your hand. he might even be bluffing due to the overall gay way you played the whole thing

If your going to limp UTG might as well raise. I dont like limping UTG period, especially with a hand like AQo.

On the flop, pot that bad boy. If he doesnt bet, you just gave a free card which is going to hurt your TPTK. On a blank turn fire about 1/2 the pot for protection/value. On the river, if you are going to block, do about 1/3 of the pot, but as played you need to check fold it.

Are you checking river planning on folding to any bet? He could have a worse Q and take your river check as an invitation to bluff.

In these situations i usually pot flop, 3/4 pot turn, and a 1/3-1/2 pot river block. Id like to hear why c/f or c/c the river is a better line though.

While not eloquent, correct.

Depending on his bet on the river. 1/3 pot is going to be raised and he could be doing that with air or a worse queen. I'd throw in a blocking bet, if he doesn't min-raise I'm thrilled.

You don't want a huge pot on the river tptk. He could have trips, be just as scared of that flush as you and make it MUCH cheaper.

PF raise to isolate!

defintely dont check raise the flop, you have tptk and are looking to bet 3/4 pot to full pot and hopefully take it down here

when a seemingly harmless card hits the turn you cant bet less than you bet on the flop, probably around $6 would be good here

as played, fold to raise on the river, what are you beating?
