How Do you play 2 pair?
5-10Nl on stars. 4 Handed
All stack right at 1k. button limps, sb complets, and i check my (Q5os) suits are not important. Flop($30) Q95 sb check, I bet pot, button calls, sb folds. Turn($90) 3 What is my line here? How do most people play 2pr in this situation. Very basic question, but I am questioning my turn play and just want to see what most posters do in a standard situation like this. I have no reads on any player. |

Re: How Do you play 2 pair?
His mostly likely holding is TPGK. You want to bet to get value from his hand.
A bet here of about 60-90 is standard. Don't bet much less because he may think his hand is good (or suspect you have something weaker like 5-9 that he can get you to lay down) and put in a raise. Just keep the pressure on and get value. |

Re: How Do you play 2 pair?
Ok, just wanted to hear it from sumwere else. Just as u stated i put him on TPGK. Dont want to make this sound like a bad beat post but i bet 100 on the turn. River pairs the 9 and he takes the pot with QJ. Was just wondering if there is anyway I should check the turn with my marginal two pair and fold the river. Just wanted to verfiy my turn bet.

Re: How Do you play 2 pair?
You played flop and turn fine - He made a bad call on the turn.
You didn't include the river action, but once the board pairs 9s - if he bets you have to fold - it's a very transparent situation. |
