Should I have noticed something was up? and someone please fix my line.

Forgiven. Anyway, at the $5s, I'm playing it the same way. For every time someone has 88, 3 people will have Q2o. I don't see a problem with it.

At a $5.5 just push this.

You will get called by weaker pairs and draws.

My line's probably looking more like:

Raise to 200 preflop, bet 300 on flop, check-call on the turn, and either check-call again on the river or value bet about 300 if the turn got checked through, but if he wanted to get it all in here, I'd oblige. End result is likely the same.

My line may not even be optimal, as we don't make as much from QX-type hands, but if he wanted to milk us and get a little tricky, we may be spared some valuable chips if he decided to get too cute.

Certainly isn't a poorly played hand.
