Tourney's or Ring games

Hi this is my first post here.
I am an experienced B & M NL holdem player and I have just begun to play online. I play at Pokerroom and was wondering if others here could advise me the pros and cons of rings vs. tourneys. I have tried both and found ring games to be more profitable than both sngs and mtts. I have no preference in B&M and want to know what the difference is online.
