Tough suicide pick for this week
Having serious problems deciding my play for this week.. and now i've got to pick sooner based on the Kc/fins game moved up.
40 teams, 9 left, typical rules where you can't reuse a team. This year I have used Washington, Indy, Philly, Atlanta, St. Louis, Baltimore. Obivously the "locks" this week are Washington and Indy. Right now I'm debating between Seattle at home (cowboys without a running game, seahawks possibly peaking, cowboys "due" for a loss???, scared of seahawks underachieving history though) or Buffalo (versus a falling apart Raiders team without Moss, bills seem to be playing well with holcomb, good running game against a bad D.. but it's on the road). Am I missing any other potential picks here... I see serious weakness in anyting i'm considering. |

Re: Tough suicide pick for this week
The seahawks look pretty damn good. Course I'm probably brainwashed by the local press. Anyhow, I'd take the hawks, and as the cool kids say 'ship it'

uh Seattle and Buffalo are horrible picks, Dallas does have a running game and they match up very well against Seattle.

Re: Tough suicide pick for this week
moneyline favorites of teams you can still use:
Cardinals -180 Seahawks -172 Rams -152 Raiders -149 Browns -142 obviously none of these lines are optimal. Arizona at home sounds REALLY scary to me. so my choice would be Seattle. they have momentum, confidence, and they're undefeated at home. cowboys are overachieving in an underachieving division IMO. dallas' 2-1 road record includes a mere 3 point victory over the niners (who scored nearly half of their season's PF against parcells), and a loss to 1-4 oakland. however, you might want to keep seattle for later in the season against an easier team. if you believe in the efficiency of the sportsbook market, the Cardinals could be the "sexy" mathematical pick since they actually have one of the NFL's top 3 yardage offenses if you can [censored] believe that. |

[/ QUOTE ] Basing this statement on the Giants game i saw last week whee they were without Julius Jones... he's still listed as questionable so I am keeping an eye on that for sure. Seems like nobody likes Buffalo |

Re: Tough suicide pick for this week
The safer bet is to take home teams.
Dallas is 2-1 on the road, with the one loss to the Raiders, but they easily could have lost both games they won (SD and SF). |

Re: Tough suicide pick for this week
Just saw that Julius is questionable for this game. If he doesnt play it might be a decent bet, since hes the one that torched the seahawks last year. Keep in mind though that no runner has done anything extraordinary much against the cowboys this year including LT, and the Seahawks are pretty shallow in the reciever area right now.

KeithSmart,
since you're around the local press: How much of an impact is Ken Hamlin's injury going to make on that defense??? All I know about him is that he's a damn good player... on madden 2006. |

Re: Tough suicide pick for this week
Im not picking against Dallas here. Tough spot but I'd go Miami or Buffalo. (of course there's always Denver )
