Default Going to St Louis

Going to St Louis for the first time later this
month, staying at the Renaissance Grand Hotel.

Can someone point me to a nearby casino that spreads
low limit hold'em (3-6 to 10-20)

thanks in advance

Maura

I'm thinking the Ameristar Casino would be your best bet.

Ameristar and Harrahs are basically the only real choices in town. Harrahs is newer, I like the games at Ameristar better. They are across the river from each other, so you could check out one and drive to the next. Both are off highway 70 at the border of St. Louis and St. Charles county. Enjoy.

Ameristar is the worst casino on planet earth period. The st. charles Harrahs is out by the airport 20/30 bmin from downtown but well worth the trip. Ameristar has some really low limit games with some strange rules but they are good. If you have to go to ameristar valet park for sure. Harrah's is a great room prob 20 tables or so the games are good I play 10/20 when I'm there and it has been plenty easy the two or three times I've been there.

President Casino on the admiral is downtown, been to it a couple of times, games are ok there, but only game spread there seems to be $1-4-4-8 limit and $100 nl.

Doc

Anyone else have any other reviews? I am in south county so the airport one is a bit away.

The Ameristar is much bigger/nicer than the President and spreads more games. The President, however, spreads a 1-4-8-8 game that most people there have no clue how to play. They bet big with the nuts, bet small with a draw. Easy game.

Well you must be blind to say its the worst casino...the place is hugh, and very nice looking. the walk in is like the shops at NYNY in vegas. The place is very nice, the poker room is so-so.
