Actually sir, x-mas is accepted short form for christmas, would you argue that there is no such word as "can't" or "etc." because they should always be cannot and etcetera? Also, stop taking a dump on the spirit of the thing you are trying to defend, christmas is about togetherness and brotherhood, not semantics.
