Back to NL, BB? I agree with the posts that I read. #1, no need to overbet the turn, #2 fold preflop, #3 call the original raise preflop -- then don't put any more $$$ in the pot with that flop.

You probably should play more microlimits before moving up.

Reread that damb Brunson book. The section on how to play QQ, even though it reads like the instructions to the Holy Hand Grenade, is ripe with caution.

My opinion on the Jacks all in preflop, are against a maniac only, let the cards sort it out against those guys, because I'm likely way ahead of K9 or whatever cheese they hold.

Look at how similar this hand is to my hand last night on Empire. Spooky stuff!

The huge turn overbet is a big problem. There's simply no chance you get called by a hand you're beating, and you do not need to bet nearly that much to give your opponent incorrect odds to call if you have the best hand.

I think all three hands were not played well. Re-raises preflop is a trouble hand. Most players re-raise with AA/KK and it was true in this spot.

As for the first hand, You only have a pair of AA's. AK is still might be out there and flush. Way over played

El Diablo likes the fact that four posters have commented on your "huge turn overbet" in hand one even though your opponent's remaining stack was less than the size of the pot. Olé!!!

excellent point. reread the section until you realize how cautious doyle's play really is.

Garbonzo likes reading El Diablo's posts. Especially the one about NOT buying a Pontiac. These make Garbonzo laugh to himself.

Hand 1 sucks, the result, not the play, although i dont really understand the huge turn overbet.
The other two are awful and have been explained enough by others.

the turn bet was only pot-sized as hero had villain covered.

(edit: should have read whole thread before making snooty comment)
